Project: Theatrical Visual Identity (Title Treatment, Key Art, Social Templates)
Purpose: To create a visual identity for Worlds Elsewhere Theatre Company's virtual production of Coriolanus that evokes the key themes of digital communication and its sanitation of violent political realities.
People: Michael P. Maerlender (Designer)
Title treatment, show visual identity, and social post templates for Worlds Elsewhere Theatre Company's virtual production of Coriolanus.
The design utilized photo editing and compositing, as well as multilayered graphic and type elements.
This treatment evokes the ways in which digital spaces like social media are used to abstract and sanitize violent realities, as well as how online censorship can shape public perception, discourse, and the modern "town square."
